Abigail loves to take her books outdoors and read under shady trees in the summer. She also likes to take along her dog and perhaps an apple for a snack. One warm afternoon a sudden storm surprises her and she and her dog need to hurry back indoors. In the rush to get out of the storm she leaves her apple and book behind.
