About the Author

Author Laura Anne Hardin was raised in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Alex the Brave Meets a Big, Brown, Furry Dog was inspired by the relationship between her parent's labradoodle named Charlie and her adopted cat named Alex who she found on the front porch of her grandmother's house in Siloam Springs. Hardin lives with her cat Alex and her husband Caleb in a small apartment in Rogers, where she writes stories about Alex's life. She graduated in 2019 from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor's degree in social work.
