Lewis Carroll decided to give a second part to his successful story Alice in Wonderland, writing six years later Alice Through the Looking Glass, also known as Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There, in which many things of those that occur in the book seem, metaphorically, reflected in a mirror. This culminates a spectacular diptych that makes its author one of the greatest in universal literature.
