Author Biography

Bruce "Buck" Nelson was a smokejumper for nearly 25 years, parachuting to wildfires in Alaska and the American West. He has hiked and paddled across Alaska, climbed Denali, backpacked the Rockies from Mexico to Canada, and paddled the Mississippi from source to sea.
