Ancestoring is divided into three parts. Understanding Records affirms the importance of placing records in their historical context. Understanding Family helps us to ask the question, "Why?" and to be objective and nonjudgmental when uncovering our ancestors' decisions and actions. Understanding Ourselves helps us to acknowledge our own biases in analyzing our ancestors' records and decisions.
