Sudanese man Jabari Nuru gets conscripted by slave traders and finds himself working as a slave in the Lazuli Conglomerates gold mine in the Congo. But after a race of aliens called the Annunaki arrive all over the Earth, they too are interested in precious minerals so Jabari ends up working the gold mine on behalf of his new masters the Annunaki.
