The collection of autobiographical fiction is composed of 14 short stories based in experiences growing up in early 1960s Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Spanning the years 1960-1966, they describe many instances that took place in the author's life. They tell of a Catholic school upbringing that both shaped and unshaped his attitude toward life, along with family dynamics that, in their zany ways, helped show him the difference between good and bad.
