In 1939, he, as a Jew, was forced to flee Austria and settle in Switzerland, where he died in 1945. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cb\u003eCindy Thornton\u003c\/b\u003e (b. 1975) is a contemporary illustrative painter currently residing in Orlando, Florida.
