Joellyn began her culinary experience early to take care of her ill mother. Since "Jo" was unable to drive she started cooking "broke meals" (meals using only what is in your refrigerator or pantry). Mike, as the 9th of 10 children, also got an early start. Joellyn began her culinary experience early to take care of her ill mother. Since "Jo" was unable to drive she started cooking "broke meals" (meals using only what is in your refrigerator or pantry). Mike, as the 9th of 10 children, also got an early start. After 25 years in the financial business and over 30 years in the construction business, Joellyn and Mike married and joined forces in the kitchen, realizing it was a shared passion. Their dates usually involved cooking four to five course meals.
