The Catherine Elvira Hobart photographic compilation documents three generations of descendants of Catherine Elvira Hobart -a member of the Oneida Community, a mid-nineteenth century, religiously-based Perfectionist community-and her husband, James Lou Baker and presumed Community partner, John Humphrey Noyes. Highlighted in the book is her daughter, Jessie Catherine Baker Hatch Kinsley, a folk artist known for her exquisite silk braidings.
