Author Biography

Terry Teachout is the drama critic at The Wall Street Journal, the critic-at-large of Commentary, and the author of Duke: A Life of Duke Ellington, as well as other titles. His play, Satchmo at the Waldorf, was produced by several theatres, including Shakespeare and Company of Lenox, Mass. Prior to becoming a writer, Teachout was a professional bassist.
