Classic car electrical systems are notoriously idiosyncratic, temperamental, and difficult to work with, but a key to keeping an older vehicle on the road is correct and regular maintenance of the electrics. Classic Car Electrics contains extensive and fully illustrated information for the classic enthusiast who wishes to service, repair or upgrade their car. The combination of the basics of how and why things work, all in plain language, along with extensive color photos and diagrams means that, with some basic tools, a little common sense, and this guide, you'll be able to tackle pretty much any electrical problem in your classic car.

Author Biography

Martin Thaddeus was born in Crawley, England, in 1959, one of nine children. On leaving art college, Martin worked as a graphic artist to a local paper, but surgery to his right wrist prompted a change of direction, and he retrained in panel-beating. After 10 years in crash repair and salvage, Martin chose to specialize in classic restoration, which appealed more to his creative nature. Martin has written several restoration books covering painting, restoring bodywork, and electrics of classic cars. Married for for more than 20 years and with three grown children, Martin recently lost a kidney, while his wife Elaine gained one!
