by Michael Jaquish (Author)

The Corpus Hermetica (sometimes referred to as simply "Hermetica") are Egyptian-Greek wisdom texts from the 2nd and 3rd centuries CE (or perhaps much earlier) said to predate Monotheism and the Abrahamic traditions. Some Hermetica concepts may have served as the foundation for what was later termed, Witchcraft. This special edition of Corpus Hermetica includes an intriguing set of illustrations including nine previously found only in 'THE NINE GATES TO THE KINGDOM OF SHADOWS', a mythical book allegedly written in Latin in 1666 by 'Aristide Torcha' (with the help of Satan, Himself) in Venice, Italy. The Book was popularized by the 1999 Roman Polanski movie "THE NINTH GATE" staring Johnny Depp and based on the 1993 book, The Club Dumas, by Arturo Perez-Reverte. NOTE: THIS HARDCOVER EDITION HAS NO DUST JACKET.
