L C Tyler was educated at Oxford, and has lived in Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Denmark, and Norway; he currently lives in London. He is the author of 5 "Herring" novels, featuring hapless mystery writer Ethelred Tressider and his agent, Elsie Thirkettle.
