He has published two novels in English, \u003ci\u003eThe Lemon Grove\u003c\/i\u003e (2012) and \u003ci\u003eThe Place of Stones\u003c\/i\u003e (2017), the latter a finalist for the John Gardner Fiction Prize. His short fiction has appeared in \u003ci\u003eKenyon Review\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eAntioch Review\u003c\/i\u003e, and \u003ci\u003eGuernica\u003c\/i\u003e, among others. He came to the United States as a college student and worked as a farm laborer, construction worker, security guard, and later as an IT specialist.
