The book series, Deep Cover Cleveland: 100 Little known things about Northeast Ohio, has made residents look at our region with new eyes. Volume I has brought to light important area contributions to arts, women's history, parks, and more that have sadly languished in obscurity. Volume II concentrated on the 20th and 21st Centuries, and showed that even noteworthy recent Northeast Ohio history, such as Youngstown Kitchens and the Cleveland countercultural comics connection, is not often enough recognized. The newly published Volume III or Deep Cover Cleveland: Topics in Depth uncovers 11 more exciting "deep cover" local phenomenon. As the book title implies, the new volume delves into more details. Topics in Depth incorporates more author experience, interviews and photos than prior volumes. While some of Topics in Depth's true stories date back to pre-Civil War times, there is a stress on more current and popular subject matter this time around.
