He is the author of \u003ci\u003eGerhard Richter: Painting After the Subject of History\u003c\/i\u003e (2022); \u003ci\u003eFormalism and Historicity: Models and Methods in Twentieth-Century Art\u003c\/i\u003e (2015); and \u003ci\u003eNeo-Avantgarde and Culture Industry: Essays on European and American Art from 1955 to 1975\u003c\/i\u003e. He was co-curator of the Gerhard Richter retrospective at the Metropolitan Museum\/Met Breuer, New York in 2020.
