Torres was inspired to write \u003ci\u003eFinding the Music\u003c\/i\u003e, for which she won Lee \u0026amp; Low's New Voices Award, by her own neighborhood and the tradition of neighbors coming together to support one another. She lives in Stockton, California, with her husband and their two children.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eRenato Alarc縊\u003c\/b\u003e born in Rio de Janeiro, is an illustrator and a visual arts teacher.
