Michigan's Upper Peninsula is affectionately know as "Da U.P." and the residents are called "Yoopers." It is a culture unto itself as is the food. Influenced by Finnish immigrants, loggers, miners, hunters and fishermen, Yooper food reflects all of these gastronomic threads.
