The story is about my family's experience with mental illness and how it intersects with suicide and substance use disorder. As Bipolar Disorder affects one member in each of three generations, join me in searching for light through the darkness in this journey. Author Biography

Renate LeDuc has a B.S. in Education and Psychology from East Stroudsburg University. She retired from the Social Work field where she was with Child Protective Services. Renate was a substitute teacher and facilitator for Child Assault Prevention in the schools. She currently volunteers as a Field Advocate for AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) and as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist. She is also involved in advocacy for Mental Health, Suicide, Addiction, and Fentanyl Awareness. She hopes to help others by telling her story.
