Author Biography

Jeff Gilliland is a writer and arts administrator in Washington, DC. He grew up in El Cerrito, California, where he remembers playing soccer and poker with his hilarious great-uncle Gino. He found out later that his great-uncle's name was actually "Cino", and that his life story was incredible. With the help of his father, Jim, Jeff and Cino set out to share his story with the world. This is the result. Cino Chegia is a proud Italian and a proud American; a fisherman's son, a father, a businessman, a cook; an incorrigible jokester and a Juventus fan.
