His children and grandchildren live in the story too, with his grandson, Thomas Galphin Holmes, becoming the first licensed physician in Alabama.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eAuthor Biography\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eIsabel holds a degree in Creative Writing, and an MA in Theatre from the U. of SC. She has published a history of AIKEN COUNTY, as well as an indepth genealogy study of George Galphin and his families.
