My father was one of the best surgeons in the world. He wanted nothing more than for my brother and me to follow in his footsteps.

Beck was a hopeless case from the start. He was an artist, and never showed any interest in medical school. I, however, humored my father and went to school. He told me countless times that it was in my blood. I was in my last year as a pre-med student when I caught the acting bug and decided to pause my dreams of becoming a doctor to try my hand at acting.

It was already too much for my father to handle when I broke that news to him. But, that kind of rebellion would prepare him for other things... like me falling in love at first sight.
