From 1995 to 1997 he was dean of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Palermo. Bongiorno has been Associate Editor of the \u003ci\u003eJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Application\u003c\/i\u003e since 2000. He was member of the scientific committee of the \u003ci\u003eUnione Matematica Italiana\u003c\/i\u003e from 1994 to 1997. From 1983 to 1997 he acted as Vice President of the \u003ci\u003eCircolo Matematico di Palermo\u003c\/i\u003e. He has been a member of the \u003ci\u003eAccademia di Scienze Lettere e Arti di Palermo\u003c\/i\u003e since 1980.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eGuillermo P. Curbera\u003c\/b\u003e is Professor of Mathematical Analysis at the University of Sevilla. His research focuses on functional and complex analysis.
