In studying the Bible for many years, I've learned that every command of GOD leads us back to two commands: loving GOD and loving your neighbors (Exodus 20). These passages clearly point out how we should be functioning as children of GOD. A person who refuses to harken to GOD is automatically in obedience to other gods, even the god of self. Deception is when you think you are in obedience to GOD when in fact you are not. In the past, we have had many great prophets, but none of them expressed GOD the Father to perfection like the Son, Jesus Christ. So any actions outside of the harmless life of Christ subjects you to other gods and eliminates GOD as your Father.
