Ray Salt along with his colleague and friend Obe, undertake a cycle ride to raise funds for a charity favoured by his deceased fiancee, Secoiya. The ride takes place around the date of their intended wedding as a way of celebrating the occasion and their life together.

The team meet up at Lattimer summer fete to both hand over the cheque and celebrate their achievement. For Salt it indicates the need for him to consider new challenges and purpose in his life. However, the fete is not without its problems, as a well-known local businessman is struck down at the fair, suffering an extremely painful death. Was it a deliberately targeted attack or was it designed to be a purely random selection for death?

Once again, the team bring their combined skills to bear on a developing and changing situation, whilst coping with the challenges brought by everyday life.
