Back cover: Well known for its iconic Live Oak trees, the most famous Live Oak in Tallahassee was the "May Oak" in Lewis Park. For at least 134 years, the May Queen was crowned under the May Oak. The May Oak was reputed to be over 1000 years old in 1940. It collapsed in August of 1986. In 1967, the May Queen was Gini Harper.
