Author Biography

Lew Shuman is a native of Boston, Massachusetts and is a graduate of Boston English High School and the University of Massachusetts. Lew is currently the Director of Broadcasting for the National Basketball Association's New Orleans Pelicans. His broadcast career has included production of all major sports and Lew was the recipient of four Regional Sports Emmys for NBA Basketball and Sports Production. Additionally, he worked as a technician and a producer/director for WLVI-TV Channel 56 in Boston In addition, Mr. Shuman is a U S Army veteran and served with the ARMISH/MAAG as a Military Advisor in support of the Army of the Shah of Iran. His career in broadcasting has extended over six decades and over 1,600 professional basketball games as a producer, director and administrator. He has worked with The Boston Celtics, The Philadelphia 76ers and the Charlotte/New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans. Lew and his wife Sharyn currently resides in Slidell, Louisiana.
