She is the Editorial Director at Familius, a former fitness instructor, and the author of the\u003ci\u003e Lit for Little Hands\u003c\/i\u003e series, as well as other books for children. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cb\u003eThe Kitchen Connection Alliance\u003c\/b\u003e is an organization of the United Nations, housed between the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the United Nations Department of Global Communications. It uses food as the vehicle to connect people to each other, empowering youth to support a better food system and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This project is an extension of that mission. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cb\u003eKay Widdowson\u003c\/b\u003e creates pictures for children's books, licensing and homewares. She lives and works from her tiny home studio on the edge of Chorlton nature reserve and overlooking allotments in Chorlton, Manchester, UK.
