In 2023, she participated in the International Exhibition of Arts, where 22 countries partook, winning the Silver Medal for her three works in the graphics category. The author received her master's in art and design in St. Petersburg, Russia, and her master's in computer science from DePaul University, Chicago. She is a member of the Artists Trade Union of Russia and the DuPage Writer's Group in Illinois. Toreeva has illustrated novels, poetry, and has contributed to literary journals. This is her sixth children's book.
