The most important question you should ask before purchasing this book is, "How does it differ from the many science fair books on the market?"Most books that claim to be about science fairs do not prepare children to do a project. Many offer the reader a book full of science activities instead of a step-by-step guide to science fair success. While these books may be great resources for finding a project idea, they fail to relate the nuts and bolts of developing a successful science fair project.Book chapters take you through the processes of developing a science fair idea through to the final project. The chapter topics are: Is My Data Quantifiable? What Kind of Graph Do I Use and How Do I Display It? Where Do I Get My Idea? Does My Project Have a Purpose? What Controls and Other Variables Should I Consider? What Makes My Project Better than Another? Is My Project Safe and Does It Follow the Rules? How I Put It All Together? and Why Do a Science Fair Project? While purchasing this book will not guarantee your child winning at a school fair, it will help them to do a project the right way.
