He has a Master's Degree in Public Administration and spent his career working to improve law enforcement standards, bolster the relationship between police officers and the public, and to bring transparency to a profession thrust with secrecy. Charlie has eight years of experience as a newspaper columnist. He always writes to enlighten the public about issues germane to law enforcement and public safety. His article Gratuities, Pay Now or Pay Later was published in the April 2006 FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin and distributed in many countries around the world. Charlie has a strong compassion for others, and enjoyed several years as an adjunct professor teaching in the criminal justice department at two colleges.
