Inadequacies is a collection of stories, small in scope and large in impact. Each of Morris' short stories question identity, and examine the ways in which we are unavoidably ourselves. Spanning a range of stories and narrative approaches, the characters in these stories are unable to move forward without first coming to terms with the identities they struggle against.

Author Biography

J. MICHAEL MORRIS JR.'S fiction has appeared in the literary journal Penumbra and Hoosierlit. A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University's Bluegrass Writers Studio, he received his MFA in 2021. Currently working in the field of Higher Education, J. Michael Morris Jr. graduated from Purdue University with an M.S.Ed and is pursuing a PhD from the University of Oklahoma.
