Author Biography
Dr Calvin Moorley is a Senior Lecturer, in the Adult Nursing Department at London South Bank University, with a background in public health and diversity in care. He was awarded a PhD for a thesis entitled Life After Stroke: Personal, Social and Cultural Factors-An Inner City Afro-Caribbean Experience. His research focuses on the interplay of gender, culture ethnicity and health. He was awarded the Mary Seacole Prize for Leadership in Nursing 2013/14 by the Royal College of Nursing. Dr Moorley delivers education across the adult undergraduate BSc pre-registration nursing programme. He undertakes research in the areas of minority and cultural health. Alongside his academic position he continues to practice in intensive care nursing.
