The final words of the Gospel of John might also be written about John's gospel itself: "There are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written" (21:25). Books about the fourth gospel fill library shelves; courses on John are prominent in colleges and seminaries; and film and dramatic presentations based on John are produced every year.
