Kenji and Abyss cross paths in Wildtown, and are captured by Beaumont, the big bad half-cybernetic entrepreneur that owns the place and operates out of his fusion reactor plant that powers the town (and many of its vehicles). His elite cowboy force of ten, known as 'The Dispatchers', and his loyal Comanche brave assassins insulate him from any threat, and Kenji and Abyss pose a threat.
