Effective leadership is essential to churches and to families. The author discusses the nature and results of twelve studies into the that use interviews and surveys to examine leadership effectiveness. Quotations from highly effective leaders in churches and in families clarify their actions and ideas. Six key leadership styles were found in our research to form the basis for effectiveness both in churches and in homes.
