Lessons from the Teachings of Jesus is a workbook that invites us all to study and reflect on the words of Jesus. I write this workbook as a student and share it with you, my fellow students. In the same way that the apostles, who were students of Jesus, listened to his teachings and documented his words through the filter of their own experiences, so too do we now read those words and filter them through the lenses of our own experiences. This book is a guide that I hope can help us to study and to learn together how Jesus' teachings can inspire and enlighten our Christian journeys.Jesus provided many of his lessons in the form of parables. Jesus' teaching style was that of a storyteller. Parables are stories intended to teach a lesson. The listeners or readers are to hear the story and apply its lessons to their own lives. That is what this workbook is for, to share with you these stories and to help you to examine your own life through the lessons.
