Author Biography

Alex lives in Linlithgow with his wife and two children. He is a historian at the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland, specialising in the history or urban areas. For six years he ran the Scottish Buildings at Risk Register. He has an honours degree in history from Edinburgh University and a post graduate diploma in European Urban Conservation from Dundee University.
