Set in late 20th century southern India, the Kavali family, are the largest landowners in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Chaos ensues, as they venture into the unforgiving world of mica mining. Mica forms in thin, plate-like clumps, to be used in everything from makeup to modern warfare. The Kavali siblings aim to create a monopoly, but would they lose themselves, and each other, in the process?
