Phlebotomists know how to calm people down, and distract them so the job can be done as painlessly as possible. This also includes children having blood tests.

These stories from a real life "vampire" (phlebotomist) show that nobody is alone with their nervous fears about having a blood test. There were too many stories to keep to myself, so I thought I would share to show the public that they are not alone and that the fear is something most people go through. There are tips for helping with the next blood test, as well as tips to help children with their first blood test, to make it easier on both the parent and the child.
