Author Biography

Tara Meixsell is an award-winning author with three titles to her name. Her first book 'Silverheels' won an Independent Publishers first place Historical Fiction Award, her second book is a non-fiction book investigating the impacts of natural gas development in the United States and served as the basis for an Emmy award-winning documentary "Split Estate" that is owned by the Discovery Channel. Meixsell is a native of Sudbury Massachusetts, she earned a B A from Reed College, is a certified Montessori Teacher who taught for many years in Colorado. Meixsell currently lives on a ranch in Western Colorado with her llamas, horses, cats, and husband.
