Ḥaḍrat Shaykh Mawlāna Zakariyya V desired that Muslims to spare some time daily for du'ā, especially the people actively involved in deeni works such as those engaged in Tabligh or teaching in madrassas. This book is that wish coming to fruition. It was fulfilled by one of his close associates and disciples Ḥaḍrat Sūfi Muḥammad Iqbāl V, who was requested to abridge Mulla ʿAli Qāri's V Ḥizbul Aʿzam, which unfortunately few people read today due it's length.

The importance of making du'ā and sparing time for it cannot not be underestimated as it goes to the heart of our existence. Rasulullah ﷺ has mentioned that du'ā is the essence of worship. He encouraged du'ā, by mentioning many rewards for it and taught etiquettes for the same. He ﷺ was himself described as one that was constantly in a state of du'ā. That is why we find in the aḥādīth collections a huge treasure of du'ās. Ḥaḍrat Sūfi Iqbāl collected and arranged these so they can be incorporated in our daily routine.
