My Pet Monk - Paperback

My Pet Monk is an inspiring story about a little boy who meets a peaceful monk one day and is intrigued to learn his Zen like ways. There are approximately 12 rules to living like a Zen Monk.

The story "My Pet Monk" incorporates some of these rules in poetic rhyme such as; serving others, making cooking and cleaning meditation, thinking about what is necessary and living simply. This story shares lessons of good behaviour, good character and of the things that are most valuable in life. I envision the illustrations to reflect some Oriental culture as the reader enjoys the story about friendship, positive behaviour, the importance of good thoughts and life's most valuable gifts.

This story was inspired by a chance interaction I had with a Monk this past summer, whom I recently ran into again.

His name is Kedrub.
