Author Biography

Dr. Ron P. Sheffield is a member of the Quechan Tribe of Arizona, an adjunct professor of leadership at Christopher Newport University, and a board member for the American Indigenous Business Leaders. His doctoral research at George Washington University, The Influence of Language on Culture and Identity: Resurgence of the Quechan Native American Tribal Language, sought to gain understanding of the influence that language restriction, and later federal legitimization, had on elder's perspectives of culture and identity.
