Author Biography
It wasn't until 1940, when she was sixty-two years old, that Daly published her first novel. In the following ten years, she wrote an additional fifteen mysteries and received an Edgar Award for her entire body of work. Among her fans was Agatha Christie, who was noted to have declared Daly her favorite American author.
