Hugh Yeats was a newspaper photographer for the floating city of Nimbus. His life in the city soon changes when the Hawkers, robotic birdmen that were supposed to be the city's new protectors turn on its inhabitants. Now, Hugh, along with his partner Sally, and friend Bobby Crick must unravel the hawker's secrets as they struggle to survive against the monstrous machines.
