His thirteen plays include \u003ci\u003eCopenhagen\u003c\/i\u003e, which was awarded the Tony Award for Best Play, as well as the Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk awards and, in the United Kingdom, the Olivier and \u003ci\u003eEvening Standard\u003c\/i\u003e awards. His novel \u003ci\u003eHeadlong\u003c\/i\u003e was shortlisted for the Booker Prize. His most recent novel, \u003ci\u003eSpies\u003c\/i\u003e, was published in 2002.
