Author Biography

Alfonso Lockward fue pionero y gestor de importantes proyectos evangelizadores. Resaltan entre éstos, Sala Evangélica, de la que fue miembro del Consejo de Ancianos, el Coro Arpa Evangélica y la Asociación Dominicana de Estudiantes Evangélicos (ADEE). Además, la Editora y Distribuidora de Literatura Evangélica (DELE), primera en su género en el país, vigente y próspera hasta el día de hoy. Fungió como presidente durante varios años de Editorial Caribe, con sede en Estados Unidos y circulación a nivel de toda Latinoamérica, y como miembro del Comité Directivo del Latin America Mission, institución dedicada a la formación de ministros y misioneros para Latinoamérica y los Estados Unidos. Por varias décadas, la voz de Alfonso Lockward alcanzó toda Latinoamérica a través de Su Clase Bíblica, difundida por Radio Transmundial desde Bonaire, Antillas Holandesas. En el ámbito literario, Alfonso Lockward se concentró en tres ejes básicos: la interpretación bíblica, la poesía y la Historia dominicana.

Alfonso Lockward was a pioneer and manager of important evangelistic projects. Among these, Sala Evangélica, of which he was a member of the Council of Elders, the Arpa Evangélica Choir and the Dominican Association of Evangelical Students (ADEE) stand out. In addition, the Editora y Distribuidora de Literatura Evangélica (DELE), the first of its kind in the country, in force and thriving to this day. He served as president for several years of Editorial Caribe, with headquarters in the United States and circulation throughout Latin America, and as a member of the Steering Committee of the Latin America Mission, an institution dedicated to the formation of ministers and missionaries for Latin America and the United States. For several decades, Alfonso Lockward's voice reached all of Latin America through his Bible Class, broadcast by Radio Transmundial from Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles. In the literary field, Alfonso Lockward focused on three basic axes: biblical interpretation, poetry and Dominican history.
