by James E. Wheeler (Author)

In 1940 England had only six tanks available to drive the Germans back if they established a beachhead. The home office was desperately striping guns off ships to replace artillery lost at Dunkirk to stem the invasion. They knew of operation sea lion which was canceled because the German Navy was dragging their feet. My story uses that rivalry to weave a story of what could have happened and the results. Yes, I know to coordinate and operation of the size I have imagined takes months of planning and to keep it secret next to impossible. However if, Hitler had used units already in place for "Sea Lion," Knowing the time table would have been extremely tight. That in itself would have worked in the Germans favor as the English intelligence which was extremely good at the time would have had no time to uncover the plan.

Author Biography

My father served in WW2 and I spent twenty-two years in army special operations. I started writing historical fiction after I was medically retired as a way of keeping my sanity. Being retired enlisted meant I had to work. Working a full time job, while raising a family didn't leave me much time for my therapy writing. But I think I am a pretty good yarn spinner and research is key to any mission planning so my writing is pretty factual.
